Les Jardins de Marqueyssac
If you happen to be in the Périgord and are looking for an exceptional viewpoint for the Dordogne Valley and its many chateaux, then put the Marqueyssac Gardens on your itinerary. The 19th century castle is stone-tiled. The gardens offer over 6 kilometres of shaded pathways lined with 150 000 hand-pruned boxwood, punctuated with belvederes, rockeries, waterfalls and greenery.
It is the most visited garden in the South -West of France.
The term “winter garden” was invented for the Jardins de Marqueyssac, no less stunning blooming in frost, rather than flowers.
